LANpa is a world of emotions that vibrate from two different persons that live, making and creating sounds interwoven between two different worlds, “the real and the virtual.” About the real world is known that these 2 guys know each other since 1991; about the virtual world is known that they compose, arrange and coordinate their music work using only the online tools available, DSL, email and a virtual hard disk to synchronize the uploads and downloads of their raw music material made first in Spain and then, completed and fine tuned in Germany. No more travelling, no more trouble; all made from the distance using at times Video Conferencing by Skype to check how things are blending together.! Luis Alberto Naranjo, from Molina de Segura, Murcia, Spain, Papa Alfredo from La Habana, Cuba, from two different generations and different roots, coming from two totally antagonistic musical environments, get together to bring sounds of New Age and World Music to a fussion – mixture tribal of “Far Eastern rhythms”, Caribbean rhythms and other contemporary elements of Pop and Rock to establish an environmental sound that describes the musical vision of these two composers and producers as experimental. The very nature of LANpa is unknown but, by now it keeps being an experiment that uses its strength and focus to a project with the idea to stablish a unique blend of cultural sThey useounds of the past, present and the future to come. They both are looking forward to stop the clock and finally see that the effort and time spent, reaches a happy end and with it, the first musical production of LANpa.
